I’m glad you like them!!! As soon as I posted them I re-read them and decided that they were boring and that no one would like them. I look forward to reading your answers!

TDC: 29. Your opinions on the television show...
This is hard.
I was way involved in the tech side of theatre in high school. (Like, for awhile I contemplated going to a theatre conservatory for college to study stage lighting.)
I LOVED the first season. Some of those characters could have come from my Thespian troupe.
I really love it when they do songs from musicals I like. Or when they transform songs I hardly like into something I can...
I'm so bored I'm going to go mad!
My boss has been in a meeting since 1 and I have nothing work-related to do.
I’ve written as many questions as I can for the February challenge. And I’ve eaten everything I brought for lunch. And I made a meal plan for the next eleven days, including looking up what’s on sale this week, “clipping” Internet coupons, looking up a recipe to follow in order to use the...
cioavacado asked: haha, Yes you can pet sit Peanut Butter, my labradoodle! : D
how long will you guys be over seas?
also, Can we have dinner sometime, before you LEAVE?!
Nicole and I want to see you!

Nicole and I want to see you!
It's started...
Yesterday afternoon, my mother-law-asked my husband something to the effect of:
“If Laura doesn’t get a job when you move overseas, will you guys be starting a family.”
……….
My husband’s response?
“A family of PUPPIES!”
I’m glad I wasn’t there. I think he handled it well enough without me.
TDC: 28. Your first celebrity crush
oh gosh.
Freddie Prinze Jr.
Circa the “She’s All That” time period.
Feel free to laugh. :)

TDC: 27. List your three favorite girls names,...
I. Have. No. Clue.
Because I’m a psychotic planning freak, I have probably been thinking of future baby names for the past 3+ years. (These are babies that hopefully will not even be born for another 5-7 years from today. Told you I was weird.)
So, you wanna know what I’ve come up with?
Nothing.
Nada.
Zilch.
Seriously.
I wouldn’t be surprised if my kids ended up being baby...

"I am an adult, I can do whatever I want."
Sometimes, I forget the simplest concepts in life.
Out of my irrational Type A-ness, I often subconsciously make rules for myself.
“You always have to keep your page-a-day calendar on the correct page EVEN if you hate the picture, because that’s what a page-a-day calendar is all about.”
“You HAVE to write/post/talk about things in chronological order, because...

TDC: 26. Name one place you would love to visit...
Note: When I first read this prompt, I thought it said, “Name one place you would love to visit FOR one day.” As there are a ton of places I would love to visit for long lengths of time one day, I think changing the question to “for one day” helps narrow my thinking.
So, with that in mind, I would love to visit Svalbard for one day.
Do you know about Svalbard? I first...
The Thirty Day Challenge
is ending soon.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve really enjoyed the process. It encouraged me to write more often (or just MORE, since I usually wrote multiple days’ posts at once).
It also encouraged me to be more open on the internet.
But, some of the questions were kind of lame and not all of them applied to me.
So tonight I had a thought.
Why don’t I make up a...

TDC: 25. Tell us about the last book you read (for...
I wrote an entire entry about the last book I read, but it got deleted. Now I’m sick, so it’s not getting re-written.
I used to read all the time. Fall semester of 2009 I read 17 books during my 15.5 week semester. It was glorious.
I am in the middle of a lot of books, but I’m not enjoying them as much as I wish I were. (Hence the reason for being in the middle of so many.)

If we move to Cambridge (or Germany) this fall, we will have to move out of our apartment at the end of July (lease is up) and into…somewhere. (?? My or my husband’s parents’ house.) Then we will move from there to our new home, whereever that may be, hopefully at the beginning of September. When we move out of our apartment and into our temporary home, we will have to...
Dreams pt. 2
Mom: I had a bad dream that you turned into a small elephant and I was sick with worry bc you were getting small and pale. I kept asking you if you were ok but since you were new at being an elephant you didn’t know. But you were really small not a full elephant :)

TDC: 24. Tell us about the last movie you saw in...
Get with the progam, I already wrote about this. Remember Tangled? Remember how amazing it was? I don’t go to the movies that often - it’s pricey!
The last movie I saw at home was the first half of the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice. I have seen it at least 10 times (give or take a couple). I even managed to get my husband to watch it with me once.
P&P is my favorite book,...
I just discovered Etsy’s treasury lists.
Why didn’t anyone tell me about this feature before?
I may never be productive again.
Muggle Transportation
Me: What time will you be here?
Mom: There’s lots of traffic…so not before 12:15
Me: BOOOOO. THAT’S TOO LATE.
Mom: Well we don’t have broomsticks, thestrals, floo network and can’t apparate.

TDC: 23. Your opinions on Lady Gaga.
She’s interesting.
Some of her songs are catchy and I enjoy listening to them when I’m in the right mood.
However, if you ever play Bad Romance for me I will exit the room immediately. And will probably be mad at you for inflicting that on me. No joke.
I have no idea what she looks like. I’ve seen her face a few times, but she always looks different. I probably couldn’t...

TDC: 22. Do you play a sport? Tell us about it. If...
No sports here.
I think the only sport I’ve ever been good at was kickball. (And I probably haven’t played that since elementary school!)
I do like to read though. It’s one of my favorite things to do.
And I love photography, but sometimes it stresses me out, so I’m not sure it’s quite as much of a favorite as reading is.

Ke$ha.
Today at work, I read a “client service log” from someone named “Keisha” and I definitely pronounced it “Ke$ha” in my head. True story. Sad day. Poor girl.

TDC: 21. Your favorite subject to study.
This is a terrible question for me because it makes me question my entire school career.
To keep it less quarter-life-crises-like, though, I would probably say photography. Or history. Or, thinking idealistically, flight. Definitely not literature.
The photo classes I took in college were pretty significant to my photography knowledge, both technically and compositionally speaking. I still feel...

TDC: 20. Do you wear glasses? If so, what are they...
Mmmhm. (But generally I wear contacts.)
It’s a little sad to me. Ever since my brother got glasses around second grade, I was the only one in my family with perfect vision. It was a big deal to me and I may have gloated a little.
I guess I got what I deserved for all the gloating, because near the end of high school I started to notice that I couldn’t see the details of things that...

TDC: 19. The initials of your crush(es).
This question is kind of dumb, but, in any case:
CJF, duh.
Oh, but also,
CFF
(Those are the initials of my future UK puppy, if we move to the UK. Yes, I have already named my potential puppy, and yes, I know it’s probably little weird. I’m okay with that.)

TDC: 18. Do you drink soda more often than milk?
I’m not sure.
I don’t drink plain white milk.
I had a terrible experience once with long-since-expired milk, and I haven’t been able to bring myself to drink white milk since. {Interestingly, though, I am okay with it being in my cereal. Or my tea. It just can’t be within a few days of the expiration date and I DEFINITELY can’t be the one to taste test it to see...

“Although there are ice hotels in Finland, Québec, Canada, Norway and Romania, the hotel at Jukkasjärvi, Sweden is the oldest and most famous of these frozen inns. Located 200 km north of the Arctic Circle in a little village in Lapland, this hotel is world famous for its dramatic scenery, and its yearly rebirth, like an icy phoenix.”
Has anyone heard of Mosquito Bay in Vieques,...
“Some places offer such unique natural attractions that visiting can make you feel as if you’ve left earth and are floating among the stars. Mosquito Bay captures and retains large amounts of naturally occurring dinoflagellates that glow when disturbed. Row out to the middle of the bay at night with a tour group, then take a swim in a starfield—an experience to which no photo can...

TDC: 17. Your thoughts on Ugg boots
I’ve heard they’re terribly comfortable.
And warm.
I really like warm, comfortable things.
But, they’re kind of ugly.
I found some that were cute, but they were cute because they were so, snowy-day looking. Which translates to being so ridiculous for someone in Houston, TX to buy. (I would probably get to wear them for about half of one day.)
And they’re so...

The Mondays
Today is not a good day.
I have a tendency to press “snooze” too many times, so last night I had a brilliant idea to solve this problem. I set a second alarm to go off with a really annoying sound at the time when I really seriously HAD to get up.
But it didn’t go off. Because I had set it to PM. Awesome.
Then, since last week was so cold every morning, I wore my heavy coat to...
